Not only was Street logic an exciting read,it was impossible for me to put down! I read it in a weekend. It gives a view into the lives of the lost souls wondering the streets of America. It has really changed the way I look at homelessness and poverty. I really can't say enough great things about this book. If you have ever wondered about homelessness, been bothered by homeless people, or know homeless people, this is a must read.
The narrator leads us through his first year and a half as an outreach worker to Boston's homeless population, weaving stories about the people on the street and the many folks who try to help them. He explores the tension between the freedom to live on the street and our need to provide treatment to those who can't take care of themselves.
This novel gave me insight into the people I see on the streets every day, and into those who work to help them 365 days a year.
It held my interest, and is a pretty quick read.

I work with the author and when i found out he had written a book i ordered a bunch for some of the staff that worked with us....
A very interesting and brave individual amazing experience.
